I've suggested to a few principals at schools, here, that big framed pictures of King Tut and Queen Ankhesenamen and the Ethiopian Ocean, etc. can change the culture of their schools.
It'll be interesting to see how that'll play out in February. I corresponded with the person who handles the race and culture issues for Chicago's mayor, a year or so ago, but it seems folks are so bogged down with day-to-day issues that they don't realize how these imagery things can work.
In Israel, today, they have signs that read something to the effect of come back to Israel and see it like it was, at amusement parks, etc. Of course the depictions are of white folks, like in the movies. We can change all of that stuff with a collective effort.
