This 1957 video of African students in a debate, in the U.S., stands as a stark reminder of how pragmatism can work to undermine progressivism.
Boniface Offokaja, the brilliant Nigerian teenager, in the video, went on to serve honorably in regional broadcast leadership in Nigeria. But even though he did well in life, it leads one to wonder how much more he could have contributed given a liberal democracy in that country.
The other students reflect the status quo of the day, which can serve as a cautious reminder of going along with normative influences.

hahahaha, hey Les, you forgot, what a souvenir,.. I have posted this video a couple years + before covid hits, and we together with Maestro had a discussion about what have been said in the video. LOL
Yes, the Nigerian student was the brilliant of them all,..the Ethiopian one was definitely brainwashed.
