SOME BLACK FOLK GO TO HOLLYWOOD AND BECOME STOOPID..
This is Morgan Freeman on Black History Month and the "African-American" label: "Two things I can say publicly that I do not like: Black History Month is an insult. You're going to relegate my history to a month?" "Also, 'African-American is an insult. I don't subscribe to that title. Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses African-American. What does it really mean? Most Black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it's a country when it's a continent, like Europe." [dm 4.16]
... Kris has gotten hold of Morgan Freeman's mind! So he'd consider himself a "mongrel", not an African because Africa is a continent. Lawwdie Lawwdie Lawwdie, what's wrong with us? HELPPPPP

LOL, well, don't be surprised coz many AAs would agree with Morgan on this. First many AAs don't like the label African-American to began with,..coz they're not born in Africa, don't have African names and don't speak any of the African languages, plus American Black "culture" is kinda "Mongrel" if you look at it coz its a culture that is mixed between Africa, Europe and native Indian-Americans. It is what it is..., btw, there is an African diaspora even "inside" the continent, like in Sudan, Tunisia, Somalia, Djibouti, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt etc where the Black African culture and language have been "Mongrelized" due to the Arab-muslim presence in these regions,...now imagine in the AmericaS(new world).
Also its true, the Black history is definitely more than a month when you look at the ancient Egyptians, the Ethiopian and Timbuktu civilisations, the Ashanti Empire, etc, etc,..LOL, it should be labeled Black history "thousand years", instead of Black history "month". LOL
Anyway like I've said before, it is much better for AA to identify themselves as "Native Americans" because thats what they are, but they don't know it unfortunately. So called AA were enslaved by foreign forces who invaded their own land(North America). This story reminds me of the Romans who invaded Jerusalem(Israel) in 70 CE kicking the Falashas(the beta Israel) out of their lands. LOL!!

I thought I'd posted on this. What happened to it? ANYWAY..
Listen to me Mr Freeman - er, I mean Mr TheOne, most Black folks are cool with the AA label, just as Brits accept Afro-Brit and Colombians accept Afro-Colombian or Brazilians accept Afro-Brazilian etc etc. Okaaaay?!
Morgan Freeman has been an asshole for the longest time. He and folks like Whoopi Goldberg are simply trying to deny their Africanness because we've been made embarrassed by it - that's what Hollywood, books, tv etc have done to us.
I remember Morgan Freeman - in New York city - being made an Honorable participant at an Irish parade and wearing the green jacket proudly. Wanna bet he'd never wear a Kente outfit or a dashiki shirt at an African parade or festival? Thats how brianwashed many of us are. During any St.Patricks Day you can see Black News anchors on TV wearing the green/Irish color but you'd never catch them wearing the Green, Black & Red colors on a Black celebration day. Tell me why Mr TheOne--bet you can't?!
As for Black History month, it remains necessary to address & highlight whats missing and unemphasized. Black History is still taught throughout the school year etc.
Again, most black folks throughout the diaspora ARE NOT MONGRELS.. For example in Haiti black folks are authentic African in make up & Dna.. Even in Brazil, though it wouldn't appear that way given media images.and Colombia too etc.

Not surprised, man. There is even an entire Caribbean Island(Montserrat) which is a black Island where the Irish influence and cultural legacy are increasingly exaggerated when promoting the Saint Patrick's Day Festival there. LOL, yes, the brainwashing in the diaspora is real.
""""Again, most black folks throughout the diaspora ARE NOT MONGRELS.""""
Agree, lol, but I meant the cultural mixture not the racial mixture. I've personally been involved into some heated conversations with some AAs back in Boston who would say that they "ain't Africans",..they could be in the minority within the diaspora but still a good freaking number around the country.
