While many of you have played at these fields this past season, or during the COED charity tournament, I wanted to post the ground rules for the fields as a reminder to you and so those who have not played there know for their games.
Field 1 - Facing Pond (MEN & COED Field)
1. Any ball hit from Left field line to fence in center field is all you can get.
2. Any ball hit, on the fly, over the fence in center field to right center is a home run
3. Any ball hit that bounces over the fence from center to right center is a ground rule double
4. Any ball hit in the air that lands in the street in right field is a homerun
5. Any ball hit on the ground that rolls to the street is a ground rule double
6. Any ball that hits the one tree in right field not behind the fence above the branches is a homerun
7. Any ball that hits the light post and bounces back onto the field of play is like hitting the green monster at Fenway Park, and is in play.
Field 2 - Facing Skate Park (COED Field)
1. Any ball hit from right field to the edge of the woods in left center is all you can get
2. Any ball hit either on the ground or in the air, by a male player, into the woods is a ground rule double
3. Any ball hit in the air into the woods by a female player is a homerun
4. Any ball hit on the ground into the woods by a female player is a ground rule double
When both the Men's League and the COED league are playing at Furey on the same night, Men's league uses Field 1 and COED uses Field 2.
Also all players should park in the upper lot. Parking in the lower lot by the lake is park at your own risk especially if Andrew from UBBI's is hitting.
If there are any questions about any of these ground rules please let me know.
Thanks
