Please review the following Points of Emphasis with the SNA Men’s Slow Pitch players:
• 6 ft. to 10 ft. arc
• Umpires will look for pitch that travels between the front shoulder and back knee.
• Umpires will “call the plate” not where player stands in batter’s box
• With the lower arc - “deep” will not be relevant. Lower 6 ft. pitch may travel to catcher’s glove. A 10 ft. pitch is likely to fall no further than a foot or so behind home plate
• Umpires will indicate an illegal pitch verbally and by holding their left arm straight out.
• Third strike out is a dead ball
• You can bat as many as 12 in the lineup. 10 positions, an EP and an EH.
• A Courtesy Runner may be used once per inning. In Coed you may run a male for a male and female for a female once per inning.
