As a committee we set a goal to raise 10,000 dollars for this tournament. Without a major sponsor or without a lot of coverage from the daily times we knew that this was the realistical number. As the president of this tournament I am happy to say that we accomplished our goal. This goal wouldn't have been accomplished without the 32 teams that entered this yrs cnc challenge or the following people I think deserve a shout out by name. Dan Crowley sr, Dan Crowley Jr,Joe Broomall, Chris zizza, bubba benecke and Richie cropper. These are the guys that helped get these fields ready after the monsoon Fri night and Sat morning. Without you none of the games would have been played. To mayor gene Taylor. Boro manager Andrew Weldon. Highway manager jim Burgess. Council members Jack Kennard and Cheryl everingham. We appreciate all your support and all you did to help us keep this tournament from leaving it's home of Marcus hook. Cnc and Marcus hook should and as long as I'm involved be it's home. No matter what. The people who worked tirelessly at the concession stand . I don't know all of you by name but I will name the ones I know. Marty everingham, Mark palmer,Shannon taylor,Cara Schmidt, gene taylor,Aubrey mulholland,Cheryl everingham (who's walking tacos were the hit of the tournament),Paul Talley,Jack Kennard and there were 3 people that were there every time I looked in there but didn't catch there names. Thank you. To the daily times who's covered the tournament as much as it could thank you. Last but not least to my committee members who have been working on this tournament since April. Dj lauro,Andy Ruhf, Jim rugh, Joe Anthony, Jon fanelli, Donald Kirby, Sara malascalza, Rocco pace and doc dimeranda. You guys busted your asses to help me get this tournament ready. We met in April and all the hard work paid off in spades. From endless phone calls to endless hours at the fields this all wouldn't have been possible without your help and support. For that I am thankful and I hope you guys stick around for next yr. I am already thinking of things for the 35th anniversary. If I forgot someone or left someone out I am deeply sorry. I want to say from the bottom of my heart thanks again to all of you for making this weekend such a great event. I am sure American cancer society will be thankful as well.
