Streets of Hebburn ~ Cuthbert Street…

Hebburn Quay. Accessed via Argyle Street, or Prince Consort Lane.
There were two Cuthbert Streets:
1. Built c.1870s. Demolished c.1968. Includes Cuthbert Lane.
2. Fifty-three residential homes - 18 built in 1964. Named after:
St. Cuthbert (c.634 – 20 March 687)
saint of the early Northumbrian church.
