Out to the West of Harrogate on the A59 heading to Skipton there is a section of the road that is in the side of a hill. Its about 2-3 miles past Blubberhouses.
This section of road has been closed due to landslip a lot. Last time it was months. The road is used to cross over into Lancashire and has heavy usage. Otherwise it the A66 or M62 or through Leeds & Bradford area.
There has been talk in the local paper about making the road go up on the other side of the Hall Beck valley. We will wait and see.
