I saw in the photo of Leslie's men getting onto the single decker bus's, that the bus on the right is not "Northern" Etc. as you could expect but Tynemouth !.
I assume that the Tynemouth Bus Company was part of the "Northern" group and "Northern need additional bus's and drafted in from the Tynemouth depot.
Surely the Tynemouth bus would not have been taking men via Newcastle to Walker and on to Tynemouth.
The Tyne road tunnel would not have yet been built.
Q. Do bus's run through the road tunnel/s.
I say "Northern" Bus's, but there were also "United" I seem to recall there were South Shields one's to or were they "Trolleys".
I notice the Tynemouth is " a New Model" the others older type.
I will have to run through the video again as somehow it puts a different aspect on some of the photo's that I have seen before looking through Normans website.
