Streets of Hebburn ~ Frobisher Street…

The north entrance starts at Victoria Road East, exactly opposite the road into the Windsor Nursing Home (which replaced the Employment Exchange). Then, it crosses Gladstone Street and ends at the back of Red House Road. It used to go all the way to the front of Red House Road, but that access was closed off.
72 homes - 45 flats (Nos. 1-86). Some built in or before 1901. Six properties built in 1910. Named after:
Sir Martin Frobisher (c. 1535 or 1539 – 15 November 1594) an English seaman and privateer (licensed pirate) who made three voyages to the New World to look for the Northwest Passage. All landed in north eastern Canada, around today's Resolution Island and Frobisher Bay.
