Hello Brenda. In those days a lot of people lived or shared houses with other families till a council, yard or private dwelling became available as the factories and shipyards were at the hight of their production, so it could be that a place of birth was temporary but used as registration (Not in all cases). Tom Barker has to some extent, concurred with some of my memories of Railway Terrace (Owned by Palmer's Yard for its own workers) but not so conclusive as to fill in the gaps of the family history. I never knew TWO families of Roy living in that Terraced and remember Freddy very vividly and slightly older (I'm 72.)
I will not through anymore curved balls at you and hope you have luck in your search but keep us posted.
