Can anyone remember the name of that shop on the corner of Wreigh St in the 1950s? I can remember they sold broken biscuits.
Next along is the Trinity Methodist Chapel and I think this is the only photo with it on. Just past it was their big hut used by the Boys Brigade, then across Barrow St was Arthur Cook Gents Tailor shop then Gambles Newsagent. We didn't know it then but Mr Gamble had missed death twice in WW1 when a bullet hit his Bible and then his baccy tin.
