Barry Jack Cram and family lived in 13 Crawley Ave. before they moved to Monkton.
On the 1939 Records John (Jack) was a Furniture van driver. I knew him as our milkman. His wife was called Mary.
His son could be "Ronnie"?.
I was told as story that during WW2 they had an incendiary bomb through their roof. Dad was on ARP duty at the time and I think he saw it hit and it landed in their bedroom. We live 4 doors away on the other side of the road in 16.
There was some joke about Jacks nightshirt having court fire. Whether that's true or not ??. It could have just been a bit of banter between Dad and Jack.
I think it was put out or smothered quick as I don't remember being able to see any sign of major repairs in the late 50's.
