Streets of Hebburn ~ Medway Avenue…

Accessed via Severn Avenue (on the north), and Clyde Avenue (on the south).
32 residential homes (Nos. 1-36) - 15 built in late 1950.
In 1850, this was arable land, named ‘Great Aukwards’, occupied by Matthew Laws, and leased from landowner Cuthbert Ellison. Named after:
Medway the longest river in Kent.
