This rescue must be at top very top of any list.
Having been a diver myself but only Open Water in the main, I know the risks involved as I on occasions entered caves but only ones U/W and short. Also penetrating wrecks for about 25 mts. Those all with lines laid as we went in case we stirred up the silt that is always in wrecks.
The best book on cave diving that I have read is by Martin Farr “ The Darkness Beckons” reading that there was one dive the he wrote about that had me shaking as I read. I was there with him sitting in my armchair. That bit is exactly what those rescue divers and the kids would had had to do.
