Streets of Hebburn ~ Whiteburn Street

Hebburn Quay. Built in or before 1911. Demolished c.1960s and never replaced. Presently grassland and shrubs.
In 1850, this was arable land named The Long Field; occupied by John Redhead, and leased from landowner Cuthbert Ellison. Named after:
Possibly, Whitburn, Sunderland, which was originally named Whiteburn.
