Re: Plaque - Glen Street Bombing 1941

South Shields has spent over 2 million on the old Hilda Pit Upcast Shaft to turn it into a museum, and a further half million is going to be spent on it to commemorate their Mining heritage.
Hebburn people have to do a whip round for a plaque to remember the Glen Depot bombing.
It doesnt sound very fair to me.
No wonder the Councillors are interested if we have to pay for it ourselves.
These weebles on the Little Have Beach cost £550,000 in 1999.
