Re: Glen St. Bombing - Commemorative Plaque - Suggestion?
My friend the late Frankie McNabola lived in the Newtown as a kid and he used to go mad when people talked about the Glen St bombing. That was because it was Charles St and the Council Depot that were bombed. The only damage in Glen St was from collateral damage ie brickwork flying all over and landing in the surrounding area.
People were killed in Charles St, Anne st etc so their relatives will probably like them mentioned on any plaque.
