Liz/Alan I think that you hit part of the key by reminding us that we, as individuals can stop buying some things from the EU. Holidays for example are a major export for both Spain and France. But keep going to countries already hard hit by the EU (eg Portugal, Greece and now Italy)
How about those who are considering a new car deciding on something made here. Buying British is difficult I agree but Toyota and Nissan and others build here, and create jobs. The cars have a reasonable UK sourced component percentage.
But PS 25% of the shares in Eurotunnel are owned by people in the UK with just 17% by the French.
This just shows how complicated it all is and frankly in this joined up world we all need one another. The EU dont seem to ackowledge this YET but believe me they know.
We need to dig in.Say enough is enough. Leave hard if we must. Fight our corner and a sensible MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL result can be achhieved. Rolling over should NOT be on the agenda.
