Re: St Andrews Church Header in 1918
Hi Norman, I think St Cuthbert's & St Andrews were sand blasted at that time, as I don't think pressure washing was available in the 70's. If I remember well it was a small contractor that done them all and, it could have been Rye's (Haulage contractor) of Jarrow. Could be wrong as I was away working at that time and not sure if the County Hotel was done also.
