Re: RAF Hero from WW2 in the Gazette
I have to stand corrected on the situation at RAF Binbrook today. I said that there was not much upstanding there now. Well, if Google Earth is up to date then there is still much to be seen of WW2 structures, including the hangars, technical/domestic site, airmens and officers married quarters. They all seem to be very much intact although I was led to believe it had all gone to make way for the new development village of Brookenby. You can even see very good traces of the old runways.
