Barrie: Not sure which Alec Lobban re refer to. Rev Alexander (1847-1903) had rather few sons (lots of daughters) and most of his grandsons were born elsewhere (south of England; New Zealand) -- however, there were other Lobban families in Tyneside at the turn of the last century [see https://lobban.one-name.net/?page_id=1155]
