What I find amusing, if you can call it that, is the backstop is and has been the stumbling block to getting the Withdrawal Agreement through Parliament, letís remember it is not a Deal, is the insistence that there can be no hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland because of the Good Friday Agreement, then suddenly yesterday the EU have now said in the event of a no deal situation there will have to be a hard border, this is a contradiction. The EU have continually said technology cannot be used because none is available or it will not work, delaying tactics on the EUís part, technology at border crossings seems to work at many places round the world the border between Canada and the USA being one particular place.
Who will blink first, I would say the EU but all the time our feeble and gutless politicians want to remove no deal from the table which, seems to me, gives advantage to the EU, you canít remove your no deal from the negotiating table as if you do this then the other side have the upper hand. All the TV stations seem to be on the Remaining side, the BBC being the worst followed by Sky but I did read somewhere that the BBC have, or in fact still do, receive funds from the EU hence their bias, no wonder they allow Liniker to carry on his campaign to remain in the EU.
