Re: Friends of Hebburn Cemetery
I was up in Hebburn at Christmas and as always I make a point of going to Hebburn cemetery to visit my Grand parents, parents graves just on leaveing the main gate I was cought out?[toilet]I noticed the office was open and went in,there were about 12 folks in drinking tea coffee ,there were a collection of cakes biscuits on display,they were Friends of Hebburn Cemetery having there weekend open shop,they were a great bunch of folk,i helped my self to corned beef and potato tart cup cakes etc and a couple of cups of tea.There was no charge other than a donation [voluntary tin.Had a lovely chat, told them what a great job they were doing ,I said I had 3 generations of my family buried in the cemetery,and appreciated what they were doing.ps the cemetery looked great all christmasy,flowers lights etc,many many thanks to them all tb
