But if you want me to say it publicly I believe strongly that the balance at the BBC has been firmly in the remain camp.
But I believe it correct that UK industry is correct to have concerns. The current situation isnt easy for them or indeed for EU businesses.
That is why I favour a sensible deal. I do not favour a hard exit but it may be the only answer if the Backstop issue isnt solved.
You may aleady have seen a report that the EU has announced that UK visitors to the EU will not need the new visas which were announced a couple of weeks ago. That is an example of common sense working for both sides. Economically because the EU tourism industry needs visitors from the UK and UK citizens enjoy their hols in the sun.
Lets hope for more of the same.
