Reyrolles girls in the Relay Shop 1966
Posted by Norman Dunn on February 5, 2019, 9:17 am
This photo came from Mohamed Jaffer an ex Reyrolles apprentice, now living in Calgary. He posted 2 days ago after seeing himself on a photo on my website. He left Hebburn 1972 but still remembers how well he was treated. In his email he wrote, My first factory apprenticeship experience was in the Relay shop. These amazingly kind and wonderful ladies took a great liking and pity on me being so far away from home. I do recall them inquiring quite a bit about me and also how old I was. Well to my great astonishment they made a cake for me on my birthday.
He can't remember the names but thinks the lady with the long black hair on the right was Maureen.
Can anyone recognise the girls?
