Re: Diesel Demise...
Some interesting views there but I still don't understand how the car companies allow themselves to be browbeaten. Especially when they have done so much to develop a clean Diesel engine. Could it possibly be that the diesel has brought about its own downfall i.e. they are now becoming so clean that the government is losing millions on reduced road tax. I have noticed also that in some places, diesel is up to 12p a litre more than petrel and all that after having been persuaded us that diesel was the way to go. I was also just wondering what type of engine the new XTrail has fitted....you know, the one that they are not going to build at Sunderland. It wouldn't be diesel, would it?
