Seeing the TYNE PRINCESS FERRY reminds me when as kids we used to go to WALKER baths in the summer holidays, then on the return to Hebburn sit on the raft at the stern and pig ourselves with loafs of bread. We used the ferry to go to SPANISH city getting off at WALLSEND Then catching a trolly bus to Whitley Bay.The ferry also reminds me of a recent thread on the film GET CARTER.[Michael Cain] ps Does any one remember on the WALLSEND side a large tip [not far from the ferry landing] that had deposits of FLINT??
