Ann and I have just spent the Bank Holiday up in Inverness. We had a lovely weekend, the weather was good, the lodgings were good everything about it was good but the highlight of the weekend was a tour of Loch Ness. The reason being that the boat we were on used to be a ferry belonging to the Mid Tyne Ferries. It was the Tyne Queen but now known as the Jacobite Queen.
When I told the staff that I had worked on the ferry 50 yrs ago they made Ann and me so welcome. Had a lovely day thanks to the crew.
One of them asked me if I was really Lash Larue. just a joke for Mr Blevins.
Here is the old Tyne Queen still in use working on Loch Ness but re-named the Jacobite Queen. The lower picture shows it on the Tyne packed with School children.
