UK pays in 12.75 billion (euros) and receives 5.7 billion in aid of various 'causes' for the want of a better word. This means that 7 billion is retained by the EU to prop up other member states who can not afford to pay their wack. For instance, Poland pays in 3.55 billion euros but receives 10.6 billion in aid (7 billion euros net.)
That is the equivalent of UK providing Poland with 7 billion euros per annum...FOR NOWT!... although we do know that the UK payment is spread around other states who are in the same position.
As a matter of interest, Germany is the biggest loser. She pays in 23.2 billion (euros) of which she only gets back 10 billion. So she is
propping up the poor states by coughing up a massive 13.2 billion. We must all be barking mad.
