Re: Today’s Header
As I recall, the 16 came from South Shields via Bede Burn Road in Jarrow passing Field Terrace (where I went to school - Jarrow Grammar) through the lower part of Hebburn and eventually passing Burn Heads Road (where I used to live) up to Bill Quay Bridge where it turned right and passed the Infants School (where I went). The 24 also came from Shields but via Lower Jarrow but passed the turning to Bill Quay Infants and on to Newcastle. Similarly the 87 which came from Marsden but followed the 24 route from Jarrow. Seem to also remember the 82 but not from where it came to where it went. Anyone agree or have I lost my memory and probably my mind?
