Thank you for this lovely photograph, as it brings back memories of my time at St. Oswalds, from 1964, to 1971, and it doesn't look much different.
This photograph was taken before the prefabs were built in the yard, behind the boys’ toilet block to the right - the girls’ toilet block was to the left, out of shot.
Some of the children are sitting on mats that look similar to the ones we had when I started there.
We have Ralph Street, to the left; Page Street, ahead and Railway Street to the right.
St. Oswalds sat on the land where the ring of houses are, and stretched from the semi-detached houses with the cars in the driveways, to the semi-detached houses at the back.
