Hi Llyn ,Sorry ,I've never heard of Windows 24. We dont need the bootdisks [startup]anymore as the Windows XP & 7 disks are bootable . ie they install directly from CD. If you install an operating system onto a hard drive that was working you wipe everything on that hard drive , so make sure you dont want to keep anything. I normally take out the drive and link it to another PC or laptop to retrieve the important files , format the drive ,put it back into the original PC and install a fresh version of Windows.I have 6 different versions of Windows 7 [32bit & 64bit]. You are welcome to a copy if you want .You would normally need the 25 digit instalation key for the install.
