Iím Marianne, Monicaís neice. George William Dent was my great grandfather. Thank you so much for the information. Thatís exactly what Iíve been looking for. Can I ask how you found it? Iíve been doing a lot of research on George and Henry. In letters we have it also mentions Tommy Diamond - is he another sibling somewhere? Hugh Turner was the common factor between my great Granda George and Henry. Beige and Henry enlisted together and had sequential regiment numbers but George went out to France before Henry did and was with Hugh Turner (Henry and Minnieís cousin). George was killed before Henry ever got to France and so I think some of the information and items we have wouldve come from Hugh. Hugh was then with Henry when he went out to France in October 1915. He wouldíve also been with Henry when he was fatally wounded. Hugh went on to survive the war and Iím interested to find out anything I can about what happened to him after that. Does he have any desecendents I wonder? There is a Hugh Turner buried in Chester Le Street I believe but up until now, Iíve not had any further information about him at all so couldnít say if thatís definitely him.
Thank you again so much for your help
P.S Norman, the clipping is correct, Henryís mother was Margaret. Mary Ann (Minnie) was his sister. George and Henry were brother in laws.
