Re: Trish's Re-Union - Who is Going?
Mike I re read your tale of a visit back to Hebburn on Mikes site. My sister died in 2000, she was 21 years older than me and died aged 80. What you wrote was so similar to what I found visiting for my sisters funeral. Instead of the door to the church in Bell street, we now had to used the one at the side of the church etc. I just want to say how much I enjoyed your tale and especially the end where you said Hebburn had made you but your home was now Cambridgeshire. I think the same. For many years I always said I was going home. Hebburn will never leave me, the place I was born went to school and married in St Aloysius, is in my heart, but home is where I have lived for nearly 40 years. Oxfordshire.
