Long story short - it's a scam!
I checked on the TV LICENSING Website & a couple of simple ways to verify the authenticity if you receive one of these e mails is as follows: Click on the senders email address at the top of the e mail, in this case TV LICENSING & it will give you the senders e mail address & if it's not "firstname.lastname@example.org" it's a fraud!
Another way to verify is - if it starts off with your name I.e. Dear Mr Smith, it should be genuine but if it begins with Dear Customer or with your e mail address I.e. Sandia9097@hotmail.com it's also a fraud!
So be vigilant, I've literally just received this in the last hour.
