John Sharp and his father Hector used to have a mobile meat shop which came around the streets every week.
A small (Morris Minor?) van with rails to hang sides of beef, lamb and the butchers scales. A chopping block and trays of mince and sausages etc., all squashed into the back.
Not much room, but that is how our meat was bought every week.
I still have my Ration Book and John Sharp is the registered butcher.
