Re: Polling Station Pencils
Having read & digested all of the posts in this thread thus far & having read up on the subject since my original post it is clear that it is perfectly in order to use pencil for casting of votes in elections in the UK & in Australia for that matter as pointed out by Philip.
However I do feel that rightly or wrongly a special case seems to have evolved through time regarding Election polling ballot papers, inadvertently or otherwise? It seems that Election polling ballot papers are the only legal documents whereby the use of pencil is permissible?
Just making that point.
