Thank you for your advice.
My extended family photographs and videos use up 1.7TB (very large family ).
My historical data - which includes all the Hebburn Archives information - is also huge.
Iíve been saving my e-mails since day one, and those are now also many gigs in size. These old e-mails are useful on occasions.
I'm a big softie, and have, since day one, scanned copies of my children's school work, drawings and paintings to PC, and my grandchildren's too - I know, it's sad isn't it.
My family history data takes up huge amounts, too, so 3TB is starting to become a bit cramped.
To hold all this information, I had 2 x 3TB SSD drives, which the loose USBs caused to stop working; and, as you mentioned, Ricky, being over 1TB, retrieving the data from them was so difficult, frustrating and precarious, especially as I could only get the drives to work intermittently. Grrrr! Ha-ha!
Cheers and thank you once again for your advice.
