George (Geordie) Armstrong (died 2001) lived in Kipling Ave, later played for the famous Arsenal FC & became a legend there in the 60s and 70s.

Jim Clarke lived in Cambridge Ave died in 2003. We kept in touch & I went to his Funeral at St John’s Church in Hebburn even though Jim had been a Catholic .
