I am saddened and slightly embarrassed that George Edmunds is buried in an unmarked grave and I donít understand why the Council did not erect one out of respect all those years ago in 1929. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission only look after WWI & WWII graves, else I expect George would have been acknowledged by them.
George is buried with his son, Alfred, near the path, about 3 trees in from the old chapel: There should still be a little wooden cross just under the grass on his unmarked grave, that my children placed there on one of our visits.
