George Edmunds grave does have a plot number; what I meant when I said that he is in an ‘unmarked grave’, is that he is in a grave unmarked by a gravestone – sorry about that.
Don, I agree, George was a true hero and I agree, what happened to the garrison is too shocking for the board.
Ian Edmunds is looking into George’s military history, and I’m pretty sure he’ll share it with us when it is complete. I wonder if George’s life story was ever written down – if so, it might be lying in a museum somewhere.
