In those days the rally ended in Ulaanbaatar, it was my job to keep track on the 2 of them, I got requests for car parts to be expressed to places in the route, booking hotels enroute, one phone call really frightened me when they had arrived on the outskirts of Mongolia, they arrived during a curfew, what a nightmare. I was glad when they eventually arrived in Ulaabaatar, booked the flight back home, but then had to arrange for the mini to be airfreighted back home, that didn’t go according to plan, I had to arrange for someone to go and pick up the car then arrange transport on a train. The stories the 2 ladies had to tell were really interesting.
