Me too Maria, but I’m so old remember father whitty I think I was 7 when he died . I can still remember his funeral. It was a bitterly cold day and we were all line up from the church to the cemetery. I was half way up the station bridge. I remember a girl from our class didn’t have a coat and she was shivering with the cold. I remember Mrs Arklass crossed the road and put her fur gloves on the girl. I can still picture it. What a lovely lady to do that. Mrs Arklass had a daughter Ester who sadly died young and a son Alan.
