Re: Bins fiasco forGBNS
We live within the curtilage of a listed building, there is, what we call the Big House, then there are 4 barns of which we live in one, to get to our barn when you leave the track, it is over a drive that is shared between us and 2 of the other barns, we have lived in our barn for the last 10 years, no issues with the shared drive until about 6 months ago when a few pot holes have appeared, one of our co- sharers thought it might be a good idea to tarmac the drive, we had to point out to him that planning consent would be required as listed building, drains would need to be laid as there would be a need for rain water to drain away, if tarmac were laid consideration to the utility that are running under the drive would need to be given, costs mounting as you can see, in the end it was agreed between the 3 of us to arrange to have the potholes filled by a contractor, the cost was under £1,000 all happy but it might have been difficult, like you say don’t have disagreements.
