When you get the first phone call of the day, take note to see the phone number that is ringing you...if your phone has that facility of course. Pick up to see who is phoning you. If it is a recorded scam like talktalk for instance, telling you that you are going to be cut off, etc., replace the reciever. If the phone rings again, the source phone number and if it is the as previous DO NOT PICK UP. With a bit of luck it will stop ringing within 20 seconds and won't bother you again.
I don't claim that this will work every time and sometimes these scammers use a number of phone numbers. If this is the case then you may have to cut off some genuine calls to get these scum off your back. Your bonafide callers will try again later anyway, so you are not going to miss out.
If you really want some fun then you can lead some these low life into wasting their time...just feed them a complete load of guff and that might steer them away from ringing your number again...good luck.
