That's a lovely shot. The bridge is so iconic, that it seems like it has always been there.

I remember my brothers Tommy and Jimmy and I, along with a small gang, walked the low road, all the way to Newcastle, to see the building of the New Tyne Bridge, I find it amazing to think that the new Tyne Bridge was opened in October 1928, and I was born in early 1923. I remember walking there to see the bridge being spanned. I must have been less than six years old. Of course the bridge could be seen from quite a distance, so I need not have walked all the way there. Nevertheless, it must have been quite a feat;
