Does anyone remember Isabella Dixon/ Walker she live in Victoria Road West in the 40's 50's 60's and 70's. Her brother went on a played professional football for Newcastle United and became a legend at Aston Villa
I remember Isabell, she lived in number 43, her Mothers name was Agnes I cannot remember her father she married Eric Walker who was a draftsman at Reyrolles I think. Her Brother John as you say became a legend at Aston Villa. That's about all I can recall, it was a long time ago!
Hello Joe, yes Mams name was Kitty and yes we lived downstairs from the Robinsons. My Sister Iris still lives in Hebburn on Canning Street I've been in Australia over 50 years I've visited Iris a few times over the years probably overdue for another one!
Remember Isabel and Eric well. I loved playing with little Jill. I moved to Australia and lost touch. John joined me there. I have been back in the UK since 1974. John still out there. I am back in Hebburn!! Love to Jill.
Hello Iris and John, I have been intouch with Joe and told him that my great aunt was Mrs Jessie Young and she lived 15 Victoria Rd West with her son Geordie. She told me that John Dixon was often in her house as him and Geordie were best pals. I think they both went to Aston Villa for trials and both were accepted but WW2 intervened. As we know John Dixon became a Legend at Villa and Geordie ended up in Reyrolles. Maybe you remember Geordie and his Mam ? Its nice to see you both on the message board.
