In 1978 I was presented to HM The Queen as one the Junior Manager's who had formed the Project Team responsible who built the St. Fergus North Sea Gas Terminal in Aberdeenshire.
For some 20 years this photo has been lost/misplaced and today I have found it and am so overjoyed I thought I would share this with you all.
As the Duke of Edinburgh was trailing behind, and I was at the end of the line, the Queen stopped to ask me what role I had played in the project. A lovely memory. I still cannot find the photo of the Duke and me.
Sorry did not get a chance to raise that subject, as HM wanted to know about my role and also if the "Gas Compressors" on site at St. Fergus were the same as those we had built at Kings Lynn a few years earlier, which she saw every time she visited Sandringham.
