That is a fact Eddy we do throw away far to much food and now with project fear panic buying will happen , the shelves in stores will empty then, guess what, we have a food shortage and we can then be told, ‘well we told you so’ the cycle begins again because the shelves are empty, over buying then have to throw away!!! All of this is so stupid.

This "food nonsense" which we see in the presss and on TV is total hysteria of the worst kind.
Guess who suffers if their food doesnt come to the UK. Spanish,Portuguese,Greek,French exporters etc plus Irish Farmers.They all depend upon sales to the UK. Their pockets will quickly be empty and French farmers have a reputation for standing by idly in times of trouble dont they?.

Exactly Mac. Also the powers that be in Calais and the surrounding ports have all said they are ready in the event of a No Deal, the say that disruption will be minimal, if any, I think it is our own people who trying to make us feel insecure and go along with anything that is put in front of us.

Regretfully Mac,
Although you and other 'leavers' can continue to jeer even as you see the smoke coming towards you, sadly you will not heed the warning until the fire burns your backside.
As a former young apprentice I adopted Hebburn as my home for many years until hard work and a spot of good fortune led me to having my own company abroad. Now retired I have homes in Australia and France from where I return to the north-east whenever a spot of nostalgia overwhelms me.
From an outside perspective I, along with all my ex-pat friends, cannot believe what is happening in the UK just now.
We can only conclude that it is a case of turkeys voting for Christmas.

Expressing an opinion is not jeering S.O.
Interesting though, isnt it, that leaving the EU for the UK populace is not an option which you support but leaving the UK for you was perfectly acceptable.
But I respect your choice to make your way in life as you did.
Many others among us have done much the same but have remained or returned to the UK on a permanent basis. Some still in foreign parts also respect our wishes to leave the EU.

Well said Mac.
If Mr Odham is brave enough he might come back in a year or two and apologise for being wrong.
The Uk traded with the world long before we joined the old Common Market so we'll do it again. The European countries still want to sell us their goods and we will still sell to them BUT without having to pay them billions.
Did Mr Odham run his business without keeping proper accounts? I dont think so, BUT the thieving EU do.
Another bonus is if we want to deport a terrorist, we'll do it without the European Courts preventing us as they have done in the past.

You are contradicting what your own Prime Minister wrote in one of our newspaper's,advising us to vote to leave the EU,he made many negative comments about the EU said we would be better off out.

UK is in the mess it is now, because it allowed all the foreign unemployed people who dragged down social and health insurances.Once we are on our own again things will pick up. It may take a while but it will happen in the end.

For S.O. - You obviously believe the piffle being fed to the rest of Europe from the likes of Barnier and Macron, amazing that they have thrown their lot in with Germany (of all countries) and the rest of them in scare-mongering, all of the countries in Europe that supply what-ever commodity will still want to trade with the U.K. when we leave. They ( the euro-crats) have just said that plan 'c' is unworkable, so lets just walk away and see them change their tune when it's too late.
